Update from today’s adventure, Paris

Posted by on September 21, 2015

Today we visited Paris for the day. We visited the Louvre; sailed the river Sienne; danced and sang under the Eiffel Tower; took pictures and had a lovely meal at Flunch.

Kieran: has been discovered as the arcade champion. Extremely good at table football! Very close game with Mr Prosser. He said that to visit the trenches in wet weather would be a good experience as we could see what it was really like. “I liked the whole of the day… When we were under the Eiffel Tower especially.”

Emily-Jane: When were in the front of the coach singing, “an old Austrian was yodelling…” avalanche, bear, hurricane, flying pig, “are we nearly there yet?”, storm trooper, Mona Lisa, Disney!

James: when we were singing looking at the Eiffel Tower from the look-out.

Tyrone: Everything, everyone had a bit of fun with the dancing.

Thomas: “I imagined Paris being a lot prettier. To me it looks like a bunch of buildings clumped up and then there’s a few other buildings like the Louvre and the Tower.” Miss Coade agreed; she always forgets that there’s a different side to Paris… We saw that today. Great observation, Thomas.

Alex: “I liked the boat trip.”

Millie: “Singing under the Eiffel Tower.”

Kayla: “I enjoyed seeing the police chase some men…”

Ryan: “Under the Eiffel Tower Isaiah found money under his foot…”

Thomas: “I liked the Mona Lisa; it looked a lot smaller than I thought.”

Myles: “I found it funny when Jaylin saw the first statue in the Louvre…”

We have had a fabulous day today! All of the teachers were extremely impressed by all of the children. Not only the behaviour, but the effort and enthusiasm with everything was extremely good! Definitely making those at home proud I am sure.

But most importantly, we bought (between the whole year group today) a total of… 179 miniature Eiffel Towers! With Oliver and Royem adding most the contribution – 15 each!

What a wonderful day you have had in Paris! The day really came alive with the photographs that have been posted. I especially loved looking at you all busking under the Eiffel Tower. Did you have a crowd watching and joining in with the singing and dancing?
As I’ve said before, the Eiffel Tower is a special place for me as my husband proposed to me at the top 15 years ago. I hope you all too have wonderful memories of the tower to bring back home with you.

Well done to all of the children on your impeccable behaviour, it looks like you are all
    having a fabulous time.
Thank’s also to Mr Rees and the ‘team’ of teachers for making this excellent experience
possible for the children. Visiting Paris, the Somme etc is something I have always wanted
to do, so when I do go Alex can be my ‘tour guide’. ?

Wow guys boat trips, 179 miniature Eiffel Towers, Mona Lisa, police chases and even finding money beneath your foot. You’ve had such a good time so it sounds and I knew Kieran was already the arcade champion. Today we’re off to Salcey Forest in the pouring rain to build dens and have a picnic. { Yeah right, we’re going to get real muddy! } Anyway you guys have a great day.

I`m sure the Mona Lisa was a great painting. It is world famous. How big was the Eiffel Tower? I heard it was 325 meters and in feet 984. But I`m not sure if it was true or not. Can you guys please find out for me. How was the boat trip? Did you get a great view of the Eiffel Tower from the boat trip on the river Seine? I hope you enjoy the rest of your trip. Especially when you go to Disney Land Paris.

Kieran beat Mr Prosser at foosball I can’t believe it (WOW) well we don’t really know who won but all we know that it was a close game. The food must of been great ,if you didn’t have snails or frog legs, it sounds like a blast. I wonder what kind of dancing you did but It wouldn’t really mater # no one cares.
