Today we are on the coach to go to the battle field to see the graveyards. We
hope it will be a fantastic time.

Alain, from the local museum, is coming with us to the battle field to show us around and he’s our tour guide. Where we are now really smells its the battle field and there’s a small poppy centre. At the battlefield there is a huge crater. There are still bodies remaining underground that have not been discovered. Now were going back Into the coach. So far we can see lots of kinds of statues and houses. Now we are passing a church and a village ,large heap of shells.

There’s a little wooden house that has been there for so long. Also French house are very big and the gardens are big and full of grass. In one there was a pony in one garden.
Now we are at the garden and looking at graves some are British and some are French gravles and then there are crosses for other people that died in the war.

Inconnu means unknown in French. English soldiers had rectangular graves and French had crosses as their graves. Now we are going to the . Memorial of the missing it is very big and it has loads of names of soldiers that had died.
Then we went and had a walk around then we went for lunch it was good.
Now we are on our way to Senlis and we are lasting to music. Finally we have reached Senlis it is a very busy place and .I it more like a village and not that colourful . Then we walked over to the notore dame Plalce then we went in side it and looked took pitchers then went out side to do a
Sckech of the plalce .

IThen we went for a walk around and saw some. Busy streets and café’s also there was lots of cars and motor bikes .
After that we walked back to the coach to go back to poppies .after poppies we are going to a cafe . Wright now we are on our way to poppies we are not that faraway …

Sounds like you are all having a great time over in France and learning lots. You’ll have a fab day in Paris tomorrow. Make sure you look after Mrs Dumont for me, she’s got loads of work ready for her when she gets back from her little ‘holiday’. I look forward to hearing about the rest of your week.

    Hello Year 6
Life in France sounds hectic but very interesting and lots of fun. I loved Senlis when I visited it with Year 6 two years ago- it sounds as if you enjoyed seeing it too. I hope Paris was sunny and clear so that you had a good view from the Eiffel Tower. Have a fantastic day at Euro Disney.
